Vimmerby Stugby

The cottage is well equipped and has good size. It was very nice to take your cats there, which enjoyed to look out at the window and even take a walk with me. We also could walk by the forest nearby, where I could see a lot of types of mushrooms and even pick Karl Johan for our dinner. Finally, the cottage is located nearby a sauna, where we could relax in the evening. Super nice!

The only thing I didn’t like was the hunting that was taking place right nearby the cottage. As I was walking with my cat (which had a leash), a hunting dog came to our direction like 20 m from our cottage and scared me to the hell. I was lucky that I could take my little princess inside, but I could see that the dog probably smelled the other cat inside the cottage, as we saw marks of his paws. It was very stressful ! I would like to ask the owner to make sure that people don’t hunt nearby, because otherwise we have to be locked inside.

Amazing place ! Quiet, close to the nature. Owner is really helpful and nice. We had great time.

Smuk natur afstand mellem hytter sød vært der gik op i alt var ok

Äuserst freundlicher Empfang durch den Vermieter, der auf dem Gelände mit mehreren kleinen Ferienhäusern wohnt -englisch spricht - und auch die deutsche Sprache versteht. Ende September war es sehr ruhig, die anderen Ferienhäuser waren nicht belegt und Straßenlärm war kaum zu bemerken. Deutlich hörbarer war da der Buntspecht unterwegs. Nachts war bei fast totaler Dunlkelheit ein faszinierender Sternenhimmel zu bewundern.

Hinweis: Da es doch sehr abgelegen liegt sollten die Reisevorbereitungen sehr gründlich sein. In Vimmerby kann man mit Kreditkarte tanken ( generell kein KEIN Tankstellen-Personal vorhanden ) und bei WILLY sich mit Lebensmitteln (sehr große Abpackungen) eindecken. In der Nebensaison bitte vorher genau die Öffnungszeiten von Museen, Touristinformationen und Ausstellungen einholen.
