Le véritable joyau de l’établissement, c’est son personnel : Imad et Mamadou font preuve d’un grand professionnalisme et d’une attention constante. La décoration, atypique et pleine de charme, rend le lieu encore plus agréable.

L’emplacement de l’établissement est assez isolé : il est indispensable d’avoir une voiture et d’emprunter un chemin un peu difficile avant de rejoindre une route normale (ou de prévoir la réservation d’un taxi aller-retour ce qui engendre des couts additionels à chaque fois). J’ai eu une très grosse frayeur en découvrant un scorpion dans la salle de bain de ma tente. On ne m’a pas cru la première fois, alors j’ai pris une photo à la hâte. Le lendemain matin, Imad est intervenu en véritable sauveur. Après vérification sur chatgpt, il s’agissait d’un Androctonus mauretanicus (scorpion noir du Maroc) — une espèce très venimeuse et dangereuse, surtout pour les enfants. La propriétaire a été informée de l’incident, mais a rejeté la faute sur “société qui s'occupe de cela et qui etait venu étendre les produits necessaires 3 semaines auparavant”. J’ai trouvé très regrettable qu’elle n’ait pas eu le courage d’assumer la responsabilité et de présenter des excuses directes. Après tout, mon contrat est avec l’établissement, pas avec ses prestataires. Petit bémol au niveau du bruit du au vent qui bat contre la tente et un voisinage qui possède des dizaines de chiens qui aboient une grosse partie de la nuit. Je m’attendais, étant à la campagne (je viens moi-même d’un petit village de montagne en Tunisie :)), à quelques nuisances sonores. Mais ici, le niveau était bien au-delà de la normale, au point de perturber sérieusement mon sommeil.

La tante fait beaucoup de bruit a cause du vent. L'aboiement des chiens de rue rends impossible de dormir. Une symphonie entre le bruit de la tante, les chiens et les braiment des ânes. Le linge était pas propre. Très compliqué de trouver un taxi depuis la ville (20km du centre) pour se rendre à l'hôtel. Il faut trouver un grand taxi(20€-25€ le prix de la course).

Beautiful location, and the accommodation was stunning. Loads of lovely, well thought out details which made it extra special. We felt very looked after and can't wait to come back!

Such a beautiful place. Thierry was so welcoming and the staff were lovely. The place has been designed so beautifully. If you’re looking for a little oasis to relax in for a few days this is perfect.

Ali Baba Infinity is a very relaxing place to stay: the pool at the heart of the resort is fantastic and surrounded by comfortable areas to sit and lounge about in the sun or shade; the décor in the restaurant and bar area is quirky and interesting; the tagines are excellent; the owners and staff are charming and helpful; and the individual rooms / tents are comfortable, fun and different. We also enjoyed our hammam and massage on site. It is a 15-20 minute drive to Essaouira, which is fun to visit.

(1) Bear in mind you're in an unmodernised area, so the water and electrics can be a little erratic. (2) We got by in our small Kia car, but probably best to have a 4-wheel drive as you drive a few kms on un-tarmacked road (which, to us, added to the charm of the place, so was not really a negative). (3) Occasionally the local dogs' barking went on for too long. But, if you don't want any of those things, just go and stay in town and you will miss a great experience!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ali Baba. These guys essentially saved our holiday! Having had a bad experience at another property walking into this slice of heaven was a massive relief. A beautiful property with a massive pool, a wonderfully decorated pool house/restaurant, well thought out antiquities plus the bonus of the company of their animals. In addition to that they had a hammam, a beauty therapy area and a gym set-up. The tents were awesome, again well decorated and equipped, the beds were so comfortable and the indoor/outdoor living was fun. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh mint tea, coffee, pastries, fruit, yogurt and eggs cooked to order. Ahmad and the family’s hospitality was second to none and we felt really well looked after and welcome. We took advantage of the lunch and dinner options on several occasions and were happy with all our meals. The location was around 20 minutes from Essaouria but we felt that was the perfect distance allowing us to dip into the town when we wanted but allows you the peace and quiet you experience at Ali Baba. A car is recommended but not totally essential. We can’t recommend Ali Baba strongly enough, we were emotional leaving and have been missing the place since. Thank you so much for everything.
