We have stayed previously at the property. We liked the traditional style of the Riad. The cleanliness was exceptional and the staff apart from the day we were checking out were great, nothing was too much trouble and you only had to ask once for anything.

We were told we could have some coffee on our final morning as we were leaving the just before 8am, the lovely lady who was normally in the reception area said we could have coffee and cake at 7am but on our return to the Riad on our last evening we were met by Aissah and a French woman who were waiting for us, they told us there would be no coffee and nothing to eat as it was a public holiday in the morning, nobody would be at the property and breakfast is only 8-10 am but we could buy some at the airport, we were to let ourselves out and put the keys in reception. When we thought about this later we felt very let down, no hot drink, nothing provided and the worst part was no member of staff on site for us leaving, what if we had a problem? What if it was a single traveller and they fell down the stairs? What if we left something in the property? There was no way to get back inside. This was a very bad decision, the fact it was a public holiday the day we were leaving should not impact on the guests. It is also a shame that the little finishing touches no longer exist, instead of coming back to lots of small candles lit in the reception room there is now just two lamps which doesn’t have the same ambience and no fresh flowers in our room when we arrived. These small things gave it such a special feel the first time we stayed.

I arrived at this property with my girlfriend at 15:30 on May 22nd as per my reservation. By the way I needed directions and they never answered 3 phone calls that I made. We had to walk with our suitcases in alleys for 400 meters to find it. They asked us to fill police forms and we did. My girlfriend had a valid Moroccan ID but they insisted to see a passport and marriage certificate! The lady was very rude and insisted as per above. The only way she would have let us stay was to rent an extra room. This property owners are thieves and bad hosts.
