Yumeguri no Yado Yoshiharu

A true ryokan experience. The host did their best to converse and explain every facilities and dish. The various private onsen were a nice added touch. The room was large and nicely decorated. It was a bit old, the water room especialy, but nothing bad. The futons were a bit hard, even when stacking two on top of each other. The dinning experience was amazing, Usually kaiseki are a bit of hit or miss, but here, most dish were excellent!

Staffs were so kind made us so comfort Dinner and breakfast was fantastic. It was so worth it, though quite hard to go there using public transport but the place was really good

Breakfast was a typical keiseki meal. Average quality, ok. Our suite was luxurious indeed. Nice open air, private bath, and two lounge chairs on a spacious terrace under old trees. The bedroom is large and has lots of fresh air. Splended! Can be reached by taxi from the rail station--nice!

Our keiseki dinner was below average, acceptable but not more. A mild disappointment. (We have seen many keiseki around the country). The real problem was the dining hall (it's not a restaurant): large, noisy, like a school refectory, with children running wild around, no privacy. And some piped elevator music all the time--very annoying. We hated it. We don't go back. It was very difficult to find the dining hall and go back to the room: no signs, and the building was a large maze. The room was NOT quiet: in the middle of the night, we woke to a rough hooting noise, like signals, but most likely from hot-water pipes and pumps. Earplugs needed, if you want to sleep in suite 216 and nearby. We also had sleeping masks,
