Sreekrishna Houseboat

On Booking,.com it said from Kumarakom, but when we arrived in Kumarakom, we were asked to go to Alleppey. On arriving in Alleppey we had to cross from one boat to the other, we were asked to walk on bear feet. The floor if the boat was very slimy and sticky. The beds were OK but the Toilets were mouldy and stinky, such dirty smell in the toilet. The temperature was very very Hot in spite of it the refused to turn on the airconditioners. We had to sit on the deck and requested for a fan. Food was just OK as we had to eat it because we were very hungry. Nothing much to say. Totally disappointed with the experience. I would never recommend it to anyone. The price is too expensive and if possible ask for a refund.

The whole experience was not likable at all. Staff also was very arrogant and no hospitality of service provided.

In the invoice provided to me on my request, total amount of Rs.21600/- is given as a single entry instead of segregating the boat rent of Rs.18000/- and GST of Rs.3600/- . Lack of transparency. I am thinking of reporting it to the GST vigilance cell

On the second day i.e. 27th, we were supposed to have about 1 hour cruising. But the boat staff did not take us for cruising at all. In spite of my specific request for the cruising, the boat staff refused and were rude in their behaviour. On the first day .i.e. 26th, the boat was anchored at 5 pm instead of 5.30 pm. Our crusing time was reduced by about half an hour. The food quality was very very poor. The staff who is cleaning the boat himself is cooking and also serving. Very very unhygienic practice. In one of the rooms, tubelight was not working.

Food and accommodation was all ok. Staff was good.

I paid about Rs 2000/- more by booking through Booking.com which claimed that there is no service charge for booking. I did not know that I could book directly.

As we entered the room small black colour aunts and flies are moving in bed no ac whole day even request at 8 pm night 8 clock the deny to stray ac as in Tamil Nadu now days too hot in such this boat is not comfort nor suggested to book this boat

A great houseboat for two people and the staff very friendly and helpful.

As a tour on the water we would have preferred more backwater travel as you saw far more interesting sites of birds, people, fields and villages rather than the big lake. It was a bit annoying that after lunch the crew slept for an additional hour and we had to wake them up to hint to move on with the trip.

Bed was comfortable, can open windows inside rooms for air, ac was provided 9pm to 6am only so it's kinda working. Dining space upstairs was spacious. bathroom shower was good.

Food provided was very less, options promised weren't delivered, food was average, when you pay a sum of 11k for 3 people u expect certain standards. Package of itirenary falls short. Who provides 1 towel amongst 3 people.

The body was excellent. The captain who was steering the boat was excellent.

Food needed improvement. Better crockery n cutlery is required.
