Riad Achwaq

La estancia fue genial. Mohamed, el encargado, hizo todo muy fácil. Nos envío transfer al aeropuerto y nos organizó una ruta por el Valle de Ourika con un conductor muy simpático de su confianza. Nos trajo unas aceitunas muy ricas y un melón muy dulce. La casa estaba fenomenal cerca de la plaza y era muy cómoda y solo para nosotros. Repetiré cuando vaya en esta Riad. Gracias Mohamed!!!!

The riad was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable! We loved the fact that - due to its marvelous insulation - the temperature inside the riad was always much cooler than in the rest of the city, which for hot days in Marrakech is very important.

This is a stunning riad within the old city walls. The accommodation is a house with four large bedrooms, ensuite-bathrooms in all rooms, a large dining area, a spacious kitchen space, and lots of seating areas in comfy alcoves. As a party of four, we had the place to ourselves. There is a beautiful internal courtyard with a canvas cover for the winter months. The decor is traditional and tasteful. It was the best value-for-money accommodation we have had anywhere. Be aware though that the riad is located down a small lane and around a number of corners into a cul-de-sac. After we arrived at the general location, the agent contacted us to bring us to the house - we would never have found it!

The only small downside is that we were woken to the sound of birdsong in the early hours (5.30am). Some birds had found a way in through gaps in the canvas courtyard cover and their chirping was amplified inside the courtyard space. I attempted to find and close the gaps in the cover, but they found other ways in! However, there are worse ways to be woken up and this was a small blemish in anotherwise perfect stay.
