The price was reasonable; the staff were pleasant in our brief encounter.

The "fittings" needed a really good clean! ...skirting boards, bathroom floor, around to the taps, etc. We don't mind old, outdated furnishings, but they should be clean. It would have been good to have had a small bottle of milk in the fridge, and not someone's left over icecream.

"Would not stay again. There’s far better options in Masterton."

Parking was easy

The budget room is a scam. As soon as I arrived the owner told me that the budget room is uncomfortable and I should upgrade. She showed me the budget room and convinced me to pay to upgrade because it was too late to get a refund via booking.com. I ended up paying more than I would have for better accommodation nearby. The upgraded room was dirty, the linen was stained and the bathroom was gross.
