BIG4 Riverside Swan Hill

The local was good, close to the river, close to the pioneer centre (within walking distance).

We booked via booking.com and chose the cabin that we wanted (four adults, one couple and two singles) which had a double and three single beds . We booked in June for a stay in November. A week before the date we received a phone call from the caravan park stating that they had moved us to a cabin with two double beds and asked if that was alright. We of course said no and also said that we were adding another person seeing that we had a spare bed available. There was a basketball competition on that weekend so we think that they were trying to maximise their cabin usage and wanted to move us to a smaller cabin. When we arrived we found that the top bunk bed was not supported by a frame, but was only screwed to the wall and would not have supported the weight of an adult. There was no mention of this on booking.com or on the Big4 caravan park website either. Our fifth guest slept on the couch. We were also told that the caravan park has the right to change accommodation as they like and we had no choice in which cabin we received. We informed them that on booking.com you can choose which cabin, which is what we did. We had to argue with the manager and it took forever to finally get a response to confirm that we did have the cabin that we wanted. They shouldn't be able to sell a cabin for 5 adults when they know that the bunk bed can't support the weight of an adult, it is only suitable for a child and this should be mentioned on the websites. (Maximum weight limit should be specified)
