Didu's Homestay Bed & Breakfast

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Didus Homestay and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Banyuwangi. The bungalows are incredibly charming, beautifully decorated with wood and thoughtful details that create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Everything was spotless, well-maintained, and clearly cared for with great attention. The outdoor area is fantastic. The gardens are lovely, the pool is beautiful and inviting, and there are plenty of comfortable spaces to relax, unwind, and meet fellow travelers. It's the kind of place where you end up wanting to spend more time than you originally planned. Breakfast deserves a special mention. Every meal was delicious, freshly prepared, and clearly made with care. You can really feel the dedication and hospitality in every detail. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the incredible team. Everyone was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and genuinely interested in making our experience special. During our stay, they invited us to join them for dinner during a local village festival, giving us the opportunity to experience a very authentic part of local culture. They even arranged seats for us to watch a traditional Seblang dance performance, which became one of the highlights of our time in East Java. We also booked both of our tours through the homestay—the Ijen Volcano trek and the Menjangan Island excursion—and we were extremely happy with both experiences. The tours were private, very well organized, and conducted with excellent guides and staff. Everyone was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and always focused on safety while ensuring we had a great time. We would absolutely recommend arranging these tours through Didus Homestay, as everything was handled smoothly and exceeded our expectations. The location is slightly outside the city center, but we actually saw that as a positive.

Przemiła obsługa. Klimat trochę jak bardzo otwartego domu. Kuchnia do wspólnej dyspozycji. Fajna lokalizacja w pobliżu stacji kolejowej (około 700 m). Dobre miejsce na wypad na wulkan Ijen. Mógłbym wrócić.

Le cadre est exceptionnel, le personnel est attentionné, les repas sont très bons. Le fonctionnement de l’hôtel est cosy et paisible (canapés, livres et jeux à disposition, cuisine et repas à commander + choix du petit déjeuner).

Pendant notre séjour, il y avait un mariage donc attention si vous chercher un endroit silencieux. + appels à la prière à prendre en compte.

Die Bungalows sind super schön und haben ein offenes Badezimmer. Für uns war das super schön. Für alle Menschen mit Phobien ACHTUNG: Spinnen, Schaben, Kakerlaken möglich. Das Personal war unfassbar herzlich und zuvorkommend. Uns wurde jeder Wunsch von den Lippen abgelesen. Das Frühstück für 35k kam mit einem kleinen Saft und einem kleinen Teller frischen Obst. Die Pancakes waren wirklich super. Wasser, Tee und Kaffee waren jederzeit kostenlos zugänglich. Die Bungalows 5,6 und 7 können wir empfehlen. Die sind weiter von den Bahnschienen entfernt. Unsere Freundin hatte den Bungalow 1 und dort waren die Züge deutlich lauter zu hören als bei uns.

Die Unterkunft hat eine Kooperation mit einem Restaurant. Man kann dort essen bestellen, das dann geliefert wird. Wir haben 3 Gerichte bestellt und in 2 davon waren mehrere Insekten enthalten. Das war sehr schade, da die Unterkunft ja durch die Kooperation auch irgendwie für das Restaurant bürgt. Dazu haben wir viel den Pool genutzt. Leider scheint da irgendwas falsch dosiert zu sein. Sowohl unsere Badesachen als auch die Haare meiner Freundin haben sich ziemlich doll grün eingefärbt. Das war schon ziemlich schade.
