Atlas Resorts

A perfect place to stay overnight before heading to the Atlas Mountains. The host was very, very nice - my daughter said he was the nicest during our entire stay in Morocco - children sense good people best, you can't confuse them ;) The family suite was spacious, with a large bathroom and bathtub, and hot water. There was a terrace on the roof of the building overlooking the peaks of the Atlas Mountains. In the morning we received a great and plentiful breakfast. It was our first night in Morocco and we have great memories of it.

Had to stay for the night had no choice. The price was right. The bed looked clean not comfortable.

I booked this hotel because were travelling from Essaouira to Ait Benhaddou and I knew the latter part of the drive would be pretty. I wanted to have sufficient time to make the drive and still arrive in good time to see Ait Benhaddou, so we stopped at this place overnight to keep the second drive shorter. I had no expectations of the location being nice or convenient to anything. I just wanted something cheap and convenient and this filled the bill. The pool certainly looked inviting, but it unfortunately closed at 6pm or so, and we arrived closer to 8.

I think it would have been better had it not been during Ramadan, but since it was, we were unable to get dinner there (I think they said they could make an omelette) and had to go back into the nearby town, where the pickings were also slim. There was some sort of event on at the hotel that night and they were partying with loud music until about 12:30am. We didn't mind as we're not light sleepers and it was somewhat entertaining, but some people would have been hugely bothered. I made an audio recording and just checked it out again to make sure I wasn't exaggerating in my memory, and I definitely wasn't!

Everything was great: staff, location, room. I highly recommend it :)

Good location, very friendly staff, the room was clean the air condition didn't work so we were offered to change the room.
