This is an older building that is surprisingly well kept.

The plumbing is still archaic and needs work. I understand though that this is a small business in a rural community, just trying to make a living and keep up with expenses.

"Highly recommend the American Inn!!!!"

The owners/caretakers, they are very nice and professional. The room was very comfortable and clean. Highway 50 can be noisy during the day yet calms down at night. The motel is an easy walk to Starbucks, DQ, and Safeway. I highly recommend the American Inn over competing stays in Canon City.
