Centrebreak Beach Stay

Lovely staff and excellent location few steps from the main beach. Amazing crawfish rolls from the cafe, highly recommend! Very clean room and shared amenities.

Rooms are a bit tiny but there’s everything you need regardless.

Clean, good location

The selling point is the location right on Dynamite Bay. Fantastic for casual walks and swimming. Nice and spacious apartments. The manager was super friendly and made a real effort to ensure I had a nice vegetarian meal (there was nothing on the official menu). Made us feel welcome. We were there on a very quiet night just after a massive bushfire had swept through the area south of Green Head. We actually changed our travel date very last minute and the staff was super accommodating. Not sure if it's always this quiet but I liked it!

The shower door (presumably broken) had been replaced by a shower curtain which ended up flooding the bathroom every time someone took a shower. Not a massive deal, and we didn't raise the issue with the manager since we only stayed one night.

The Receptionist was excellent, friendly and helpful.

The owner needs to lighten up. Too dour. Not a people person and is also the cook. Very rigid rules re menu. Would have liked to eat there, but very limited times for meals. 5 to 7pm is very inadequate for dinner. Travellers eat later as they want to experience the sites. It's still light at 7 pm in summer. The bar has limited hours too. Shut at 7pm. Rooms were very clean and modern, but very cramped. Little things could improve convenience for guests, like hooks on the back of the ensuite door for clothes when showering and more hanging space in the bedroom. It's a work in progress and needs a bit of jollying up.
