The Beach House at Oak Island by North State Hospitality

We liked our room and it's easy access to the beach but the next time we would prefer to spend the extra money to have room 201 or 101 with the balcony view of the ocean. We also liked the fact that there were eateries within walking distance and the area was relatively quiet.

The fact that employees were smoking on the walkways just outside of the rooms was less than pleasant. I have been diagnosed with heart disease and therefore suffered the repercussions of having to breathe in cigarette smoke daily as we went to and from our room. I woke up the next morning after we had arrived and my chest felt so heavy and was like that the entire stay. I ended up going to the urgent care when we returned home that Friday. It took 6 days for me to recover.

smaller than anticipated and lack of outlets in restroom

love location! walk across the street to drink my coffee on the beach. many restaurants also across the street. and im able to bring my furry kids. love this place.

The place is tiny there’s nowhere to put your clothes especially hanging clothes you barely can shave because the sink is so small the rooms are tiny as can be I would not stay at this property again
