Yurta de Arico

Wonderful experience! A must see if you can appreciate nature and all of its aspects. I am a resident at Tenerife and will come back with friends to show them what a spectacular place this is. This place needs to be shared in great company. Alone I liked it as well. A lot of hard work has been put in building this beautiful location. Don't hesitate. Just book and enjoy the stars without any pollution of lights in the vast area of Arico Viejo. I would certainly recommend renting a car to appreciate every village and combine your trip with the south coast of Tenerife. Also I recommend arriving by sunset. The drive up to this accommodation is spectacular due to its wild scenery of the volcanic structures, this island was made of. Book, enjoy like I did and step into the world of a Yurt. Bad reviews on Booking from before 2022 I would definitely ignore. On the Canary Islands tourism has been hit quite brutally, during pandamic years and post pandamic times. Worse than in many other places in Spain. Just book and check for yourself. This place feels like glamping! Shower, toilet, kitchen facilities, bedroom and the diverse outdoors terraces are easy to enjoy.

There were some minor issues with the WiFi signal. However it was fixed soon enough. It didn't bother me at all and my host responded quickly to my messages on Booking. A Yurt is made of animal leather I assume. As I am sensitive to strong smells I found it a bit strange to adjust to this smell. However once you stay inside, you quickly stop noticing this peculiar smell. It showed the care and love from the host, for having built this Yurt as best as possible, according to its original way of building. In August it will be warm in the Yurt during the day but you wake up after a chilly night, enjoying a cool morning for breakfast outside until about 12.00 pm. The fan inside helps if necessary.

Fantastic place, very nice Yurta, Place to be pacefull and could yourself be far to any noise or stress. Very glad to meet yours!
