Beautiful surroundings, dog friendly, good communication from owner re access etc, the lodge has everything you could need for a stay and Crianlarich is a 5 minute drive or 40 minute walk away with good pub/restaurant eating options and a well stocked shop.

We stayed in the Eagle Lodge of Portnellan for five days in April 2026. All the important information was provided in advance. Note: as described in the information, you should use the Three Words app to find the accommodation; Google Maps leads you several kilometers away. The lodge was exceptionally well-equipped, especially the kitchen with its abundance of cooking utensils. The views from the terrace are beautiful. Cameron, our contact person, came by personally on the day of our arrival to greet us. He transparently informed us that the lodge's terrace was still being renovated. On Easter Sunday, he persuaded our children to participate in an Easter egg hunt. This was very kind although we couldn't join due to time constraints. When we had a mishap with our car on Easter Sunday, Cameron and several helpers came without hesitation and helped us out. Especially on Easter Sunday, this was anything but a given! In conclusion: our stay was completely comfortable, well informed and always helpful, even in more serious moments. Many thanks for that – we highly recommend them!

Location, Location, location. Perfect for bagging Munroes, we stayed two weeks in the Osprey cottage. Spotless, private, serene, comfortable. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! Our host Cameron went above and beyond. We will be back 🇨🇦

Cameron came to welcome us to the property. He had kindly collected our online shopping and put it in the fridge for us. The lodge was beautiful and well-equipped. It even had a washing machine and a tumble dryer. The location was serene and simply amazing! Cameron was very helpful and had put lots of useful information in the lodge about the local area. We are already planning our next trip.

Some very negligible points that had no impact on us enjoying the trip - The Internet was very poor. We didn't mind as we enjoyed the nature and tranquility instead - The lights in the living area were quite dim and yellow.
