Safari Motor Inn - Joshua Tree

Although the check-in required quite a few documents, the host was actually very kind. They even found our driver’s license and kindly taped it to the door for us! The location is also very convenient. Thank you so much!

The accomodation, although dated, is comfortable and cozy. It's very close to the center of the town and surrounded by restaurants, bars, shops and even a saloon. There's plenty of parking space in front and it's a short drive away from the entrance to the Joshua Tree National Park. The bed was big and comfortable and I especially found the shower charming with its black-and-white tiles. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The air in the room gets a bit stale and there's a certain smell to it which I got used to, but noticed at first when I walked in. Some furniture and things could be renovated, but I do understand that this is a small, probably family-led business so I don't mind it that much.

Close to Joshua Tree National Park. The television and air conditioner worked. There was a refrigerator & microwave.

The internet didn't work & the owner seemed to blame me. Kept saying I was the only one complaining & implied it was my device. He did provide another password which worked sporadically. Biggest complaint was room was filthy. Couldn't use shower (stagnant standing water) or closet (so old paint is chalking and left white streaks on my clothes). Food stains on table and chair. No hair dryer in room-had to ask.

The location is close to the West Entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. All one floor, no stairs to climb, park your car right outside your door.
