Mertasari Bungalows

Tijdens de derde dag in de bungalows moest onze zoon opgenomen worden in het Nusa Medica Center II. Onmiddellijk werd alles op alles gezet om ons verblijf te kunnen verlengen. We konden nl niet doorreizen naar Gili. Telkens moesten we plannen bijstellen. Het team hielp ons met alle vragen en de ziekenhuisopname, informeert hoe het gaat en loopt een stap harder. De Bali smile en vriendelijkheid is zo oprecht.🌺 De nette kamers zijn ruim genoeg opgezet in kleine bungalows in traditionele stijl, klamboe rond het bed, ruime douche, dagelijks schone handdoeken en vers water. Een mooi balkon met 2 stoelen en een tafeltje waar 's morgens je ontbijt naar keuze, met altijd heerlijk vers fruit geserveerd wordt. Het zwembad is zoet water, niet zo groot, maar wel lekker voor verkoeling. Een koelkast bij de receptie is voor gemeenschappelijk gebruik, je krijgt je eigen 'schap' toegewezen, en dat voldoet prima. Het is schat ik een kwartier rijden van de haven, vraag gerust en ze regelen graag een transfer voor je! In de omgeving (loopafstand) veel goede koffietentjes, restaurants en leuke beach clubs waar je gewoon binnen kunt lopen, een lekker plekje aan zee/zwembad uitzoeken en iets lekkers bestellen. Overleg laagdrempelig en persoonlijk via email of whatsapp bij hen (dus niet alleen via de grote booking-sites.) Ook bij allerlei andere vragen, niets is ze te veel, ontzettend fijne mensen. Ben je langer op Nusa P: echt een aanrader!

Misschien kunnen de badkamers een upgrade gebruiken en een persoonlijk klein koelkastje op de kamer.

One of the strangest bathrooms I've seen.

Schoon verblijf, goed onderhouden, lekker ontbijt, vriendelijk personeel, mooie tuin, zelfs bij medische problemen deden ze meer dan je mag verwachten

The amazing staff went above and beyond! More than just helpful each day I was greeted with a smile and asked how my day was. I really enjoyed the location. 10 minutes away from the harbour made it quieter, yet restaurants and the beach was walking distance. I found it the perfect location to explore the west and east coast of the island by scooter (which I rented from Mertasari) with most major tourist spots reached with 50 minutes. The pool was refreshing to cool off in. The bungalow was clean and even though there wasn’t a fridge, the fridge at receptions was available for guest to use. The bed was comfortable and I enjoyed the generous breakfast on the porch. The bathroom at times had a musty smell but a decent amount of hot water and pressure.

Not really a dislike but bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. Dogs and chickens are quite vocal at all hours and the bungalows aren’t very soundproof.

A small family run hotel.. good for a one night stay.. clean and maintained..

Room facilities and breakfast options could be better. Entry to the house is a bit challenging and you may miss the narrow lane where it is located.
