Wonderful traditional lodging, gorgeous irori, delicious kaiseki dinner and breakfast. This place has been run by the same family for 8 continuous generations dating back to the Edo period — walking the Nakasendo and staying here is as close as I could get to tasting history. I highly recommend asking about the traditional song of the Nakasendo, Kiso-bushi!

I wouldn't change a thing. Love!

Struttura situata lungo la vecchia Nakasendo, molto carina, ben tenuta, sembra proprio di tornare indietro nel tempo. Ha un parcheggio privato non molto lontano dalla struttura (consiglio di chiedere in anticipo la geolocalizzazione per evitare problemi con il navigatore). Il personale è gentile ed attento. Le camere sono molto spaziose, letto con futon molto comodo. Te e biscotti di benvenuto in camera. Onsen piccolo, ti fanno prenotare quando vuoi andare, ma molto confortevole. I bagni sono in comune ai vari piani. Cena e colazione tipica molto varia ma soprattutto molto buona.

Amazing homestay in stunning old building right in the centre of Magome. Hot baths, comfy rooms, incredible food and entertaining hosts. Couldn't fault it. :)

Es war ein besonderes Erlebnis im Ryokan zu übernachten! Ich habe alles daran geliebt. Die Badezeit im Onsen, die traditionellen Yukata, den Geruch der Tatami Matten. Ich habe vorher nachgefragt, ob es möglich ist ein vegetarisches Menü zu bekommen, das hat super geklappt und war sehr gut. Abends konnte man mit anderen Gästen einen traditionellen Tanz lernen. Leider waren wir dazu zu müde, aber sehr schönes Angebot.
