Nice friendly staff, comfortable bed and good quality rooms.

Breakfast was very basic, sausage was cheap. But it was OK.

I had unexpectedly to bring my booking dates forward by two weeks. The staff went out of their way to help, and continued to be friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room (one of 23 terraced "bungalows" around the car park) was spacious, warm and clean, and the shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. Despite being next to a road, it was a quiet place to stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a desk and large leather chair to work at if required. Good lighting too. And an on-site restaurant with a modest evening menu of home-cooked food, with a bar as well. Very good free wifi. I needed to be east of York, so the location was, for me, just right - but it is a motel and you do need transport. It's a long walk into Pocklington!

Nothing, in terms of accommodation or evening meals. My slight disappointment was the rather limited breakfast choice. Cooking quality was fine. OK if you like cereals, full English, toast and coffee/tea. I happen to prefer other things, like fruit. But this will not stop me going back there when I visit the area next year.
