The location is beautiful, the watercraft are free to use, the hosts and warm and welcoming, and the staff are accommodating. The kitchen was well-stocked and the views were amazing. Plus, the dog Bailey and cat Scooter were friendly and adorable.

Cool clean and well appointed. There were pedalos and kayaks readily available. The lodge had lots of games to enjoy. It’s a short walk to the COOP and the Farmers Daughter. The fire pit was still allowed despite fire restrictions. Booster the cat snd Bailey the dog were very amenable to pats and cuddles. Frog hunting at the pond also proved popular. Staff were very kind and approachable.

Our hopes of swimming/SUPing were dashed because the waters had lion’s mane jellyfish - we visited 6 weeks into no rain and a provincial ban on entering the woods. With the low water levels there was a strong sulphur smell near Cottage 6.

We really enjoyed outre stay. The view is beautiful. A beautiful and calm place to be. The suite is very clean and spacious. Kids really enjoyed it as well. We wish We couldve stated longer.

Beautiful setting right on the lakefront, with a balcony that is perfect for coffee, wine, or daydreaming. Central location to explore both Cape Breton coasts on consecutive day trips. Great host who provided a drip coffee maker which we prefer over K-cups. Made our mornings brighter.
