Sandaway Holiday Park

We didn't get to stay here even though via booking.com it clearly advertised dogs were allowed. We got moved to Coombe Martin Holiday Park, which was extremely poor

We originally booked to stay at Sandaway Holiday Park through Booking.com, which clearly stated that dogs were accepted. However, when I phoned ahead to confirm some details, I was told that dogs weren’t actually allowed and that we were being moved to "Combe Martin Beach Holiday Park" because of this. This was never made clear during the booking process. The accommodation we were given was completely unacceptable — it smelled awful, was dirty, and had an uneven floor that felt like it could collapse. It was unsafe and uninhabitable. We were then moved to a small dirty caravan that was described as “gold standard,” but it was clearly bronze — the TV was broken, fixtures were hanging off the walls, and the overall condition was very poor. When I asked to speak to a manager, an older and very rude staff member told me she wasn’t sure if the manager would bother calling me — basically saying, “don’t hold your breath.” Unsurprisingly, the manager never contacted me at all. Incredibly unprofessional and completely unacceptable. This was easily the worst holiday accommodation experience I’ve ever had — misleading information, poor facilities, and terrible customer service. Would not recommend

Hideaway accommodation was fantastic, very modern and it felt luxurious. The enclosed terrace was great for on an evening. We loved our stay here!

Unfortunately, the view from the hideaway (number 40) was obscured by a caravan directly infront of the terrace. It appeared that many of the hideaway accommodation faced this issue. This was disappointing, as instead of looking out onto the sea, we looked directly into our neighbours living room! It didn’t spoil our stay though as we could view the sea from other areas of the park.

We tried to order breakfast but staff were busy after 20 minutes we decided to go elsewhere

We stayed in a silver caravan and it was very clean, comfortable and we had a beautiful view of the sea from the living room window, there was plenty to do, a park , outside swimming pool, great kids entertainment at night, clubs during the day also, a beautiful beach within walking distance, mermaid cove is also accessible by steps on the complex.

Only things I could say really is the arcade is a little out dated . Could do with a few more machines in there but it wasn’t a massive issue as we found a nice arcade in Ilfracombe on the main strip :)

Its not what I expected The caravan had a smell to it and lots of dust around. Luckily we was out more, so didn't ruin the holiday. The location there was nothing much for the kids to do. Nearest beaches where dangerous for kids to rocky and steep hills had to travel out 40 mins for a nicer friendly beach.

I should have explored the place abit more, there was nothing for the kids to do in the holiday park and u really need it as the park is isolated abit.
