''Alkyoni" Sailing Yacht

We had a very disappointing experience. After check-out, the host tried to charge €70 from our deposit with no valid proof — claiming things like cushion stains and open windows, even though we didn’t use the cushions or open any windows at all. The only real issue was one garbage bag we left because there were NO visible bins and ZERO instructions on where to throw it away. On top of that, the listing said check-in was at 12:00, but the host told us not to arrive before 14:00. We had to wait with all our luggage in the heat, which was very inconvenient and unprofessional. Instead of proper communication, we received vague accusations and photos that don’t prove anything. It felt like an excuse to keep part of the deposit. This was very frustrating and left a bad impression. Be extremely careful if you book this yacht — take detailed photos at check-in and check-out, or you might end up paying for things you didn’t do.

The yacht had everything you needed and it was was very clean and very well set up. The location was perfect as it was at the marina and there were lots of restaurants nearby. Nikos was as amazing host and sent very clear and easy to follow instructions. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Nothing, loved everything.

Before we checked in, we were thinking of going out to explore a bit more of that part of the city and perhaps eat something at a local restaurant. Once we checked it, we abandoned all plans. We sat around on the yacht and enjoyed the sun. It was THAT relaxing. The next day, Nikos, the host, took us on an almost two hour ride around the city and it was simply amazing.

Nikos (owner) was very nice and very accommodating. We unfortunately arrived late, no problem on his end. Loved sailing (incl wine) with Nikos before our overnight stay for a little extra money. Adjacent to a lively bar and restaurant at Nautical Club, and several other dining options he recommended are within walking distance. Lovely marina and boat slip. He was very helpful with our luggage and very early departure. Be sure to ask about the yacht's name origin. We felt it was a fantastic value! Perfect for our last night in Greece!

Mosquitos!! (Due to some stagnant water nearby.) A mosquito zapper on the boat could help. Have seen new tech options on the market these days. They kept us awake. Also, we needed a 2nd bed made up, and there were no sheets we could find

Such a unique stay in the city! Be sure to take the private tour offered. Great view of the city from the water and interesting information and tips on what to do and where to eat.

Great place to stay- I really recommend it. Nikos is a great host and told us a lot about Thessaloniki and gave us recommendations of what to do there. We did the private cruise and it one of the highlights of our trip! Thanks Nikos😊
