Idylle Beach

The view from the pool is absolutely stunning! It's in a great location - about 10 minutes walk from the port and the centre of town where you can find the tuk tuks. The staff were very welcoming throughout our stay and breakfast was really good! The staff were also very helpful - when they couldn't serve an early breakfast, they told us where we could go instead. They were also able to provide information for our next destination. AMEX is accepted. We'll be returning!

Some things weren't communicated well in the beginning - like having to order breakfast the day before. They were not able to serve an early breakfast to fit with our activities for the day. The wifi doesn't work from the bedroom.

I love the connection I had with the staff. I love the location and access to the main town. The food was great especially on the hosted "pirate party night". Which they had a live band! Fred the owner is extremely outgoing and helpful and makes you feel comfortable 100% of the way.

It had a nice view, and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly! It’s a good place to stay if you want to visit the pirate cemetery and try different restaurants in town.

There’s really not a good beach at the hotel. You have to walk a bit and there is a lot of trash so that was disappointing. Breakfast was good but we found the dinner to be just OK..

Proximity to the center of the city, the bungalow more than met the expectations we had before arrival. The staff was helpful and kind in assisting us.

We unfortunately didn't have hot water for 2/3rds of the stay in the shower, and the communications regarding room services weren't entirely clear to us from the provided material.

Clean, comfortable room, although not very spacious and with street noise. Good restaurant.

Street noise. Better choose a room with sea view. Ambodifotatra is no more a quiet picturesque village. The beach in front of the hotel is not good for swimming. The swimming pool was not clean.

The hotel and rooms look lovely, very well decorated. Big beds with good matresses. Nice communal space to chill.

Based on the description I expected the hotel to have a beach directly at the oceaan, but there's a high quay instead, so it's not possible to swim in the ocean from there. There's also no nice stretches of beach nearby. Also unlike the description on Booking there are no coffee/tea facilities in the rooms and the wifi didn't work during our stay. But the most disappointing was the passive and indifferent personnel because friendly personnel is very important for an enjoyable stay.
