The place is amazing, very cozy and amazing views- really into nature. It is equipped with everything you need and the bed is sooo confortable. The staff is also very kind and always available. From the park you can do a 2-3h walk to Pico Areeiro- we did it for sunrise and was moderate level. We would definitely come back in the future!!

Location amongst the trees, great hikes nearby (including the famous Pico to Pico, which starts a short drive away) and a sunset hike on the doorstep, peaceful, friendly meet & greet from host and quick responses to messages, but not hassled. Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.

Not really anything to add , except that it could maybe benefit from the addition of a toaster

This place is located INSIDE the national ecological park, and provides access to some of the best hiking on the island. We were a family of three, and everyone slept comfortably, and enjoyed walking to O Barracão, which has amazing poncha and a great food selection. The property also has a small pond with trout, and friendly donkeys. Dioclécio greeted us, and had great recommendations for hikes and information about the local area. We would love to come and visit again!

Nothing-the Eco Lodge was the best place we stayed on the island. For the technophiles-the WiFi is in the common room, so this is a great place to disconnect.

The location in the middle of a nature reserve. Calm and quiet apart from the occasional donkey and peacock ;) Very nice and warm host. The 'shelter' is still new, clean and it is nice to be able to cook our own food. The variation in weather between clear blue skies with sunshine, mysterious fog and cloudy with rain. Very close to Pico do Arieiro to watch the sunrise and sunset. The flashlight came in super handy!

We stayed for 5 nights. Would not mind to have stayed for longer, but that would have been a bit expensive. Scissors would be a nice extra.
