Ranthambore Nature Camp Resort

This is a really lovely resort, within a few minutes drive of the main gate to Ranthambore National Park. My room was large, spacious and bright, and had a terrace/balcony for sitting out on an evening! There is a large grassed area in the centre of the resort, giving a nice, green natural feel. The pool area, too, is a nice place at which to unwind between safaris and travels. Deepak (Dipak?) arranged my safaris for me, and I was lucky enough to see a tiger on my first safari. Others weren't so lucky, so be aware of this, and lower your expectations. A tiger spotting is a bonus! Deepak has a good knowledge of the National Park. The food prepared at the resort was largely excellent, and they are flexible to work around safari times. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

The only small criticism might be the lack of various menu items during my stay. This may have been due to the seasonality of fresh ingredients, so fair enough.

The arrangement of the properties around the garden was lovely Clean

The gardens are beautiful and very well cared for. The property is on the edge of a lovely village and walking distance from some local points of interest.

There were hardly any staff, no information was offered on our arrival and the only English speaker was rarely onsite. The pool was covered in flies and pigeon crap with no obvious filtration. The tents were tired, worn and the mosquito screens were ripped. The only fridge with drinks in on the premises was locked. It was very much a DIY kind of vibe. The lack of assistance was put down to it being ‘wedding season’ so we shouldn’t expect much availability of anyone.

Quietness.. Relaxing feel to the resort.

Hot drink making facilities within the tent would be useful.. FREE drinking water.. Hangers to hang clothes.

Very loud wedding music from nearby on both nights, one until 2am Lipstick on hand towel Only 2 out of 10 dishes on menu available I thought description said tea/coffee available in room, there was none

Food and garden

Very nice quiet location, good breakfast, extremely helpful staff especially to get us a ride to the station when the taxi drivers went on strike. Very much appreciated!

Tents were cold at night but blankets were provided. Limited hot water. Also a small issue with an electrical fault but swiftly repaired.
