Umeoka Ryokan

We enjoyed our stay here. The family were so kind. Our beds were comfortable and cozy and the breakfast was over the top fantastic. We are new travelers to Japan and we felt this was a true experience into Japanese life.

Very warm stuff, old but comfortable accomodation with great bathing facilities and awesome breakfast

畳の部屋で狭いのでバックパッカー向き

The host was incredibly kind and helpful — he even waited for us to arrive and offered to hang our laundry on the rooftop when the dryer didn’t fully work. The room was charming and spacious enough for five people, with a lovely traditional Japanese layout. The showers were great, and there was even a small onsen in the building open until 11 PM. The location was convenient, within walking distance of nearby attractions, and there was free parking very close to the hotel.

The dryer wasn’t very strong — even after running it for three hours, our clothes were still damp. The traditional Japanese pillows were quite firm, a bit like sandbags, which might be uncomfortable for some guests.

スタッフさんが感じ良かった お風呂を貸切で使わせて下さいました 善光寺さんに御参りするには、アーケード街を抜けて、２０分くらい歩くけど、お散歩がてら、スーパーで買い出ししたり、利便性はありました

トイレ、洗面所が部屋の外で、共有でした 冷蔵庫も共有で、いつの、誰のか、わからない物が入りっぱなし感があった 部屋に湯沸かしポットやカップもなく、１階から3階にエレベーターもないので、お湯が欲しい時、ちょっと不便かな 洗面所やお風呂場に、使い残しの人の洗顔ホームや整髪料などがあって、もうちょっと整理してほしいと思った

Le personnel ne parlait pas beaucoup anglais mais était très sympathique et accueillant. Les petits déjeuners étaient copieux et délicieux. Un peu vieillot mais somme toute quand même agréable.

Peu habitué à coucher sur le sol, le futon n'était pas très confortable.
