Lovely original ryokan

Bathroom was a bit squeezy.

It was a fantastic, truly authentic place to stay. My partner and I were hesitant as we'd never been to Japan or stayed in a ryokan, however the old wood had the aroma of a sauna, the beds were comfy, the lighting, decoration and interior design were all fantastic. Would highly recommend to everyone.

Location. Seemed to be too far from anywhere to walk with heavy bags etc, but not far away enough to warrant a taxi. This is the only fault.

I loved that my family of four had the whole property to ourselves. The traditional tatami mats and decor were exactly the experience we were looking for. The walk from the station was about 10 minutes. No problem with our luggage as long as we made way for the school kids and business people who actually knew where they were going.

The stairs are quite steep, but luckily the toilet is on the sleeping level. Showers and exit down stairs.

It's a spacious traditional Ryokan with uforo. Good location. Near train station and bus stop. We walked to Shukkeien Garden, Hiroshima Castle, Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Park. We took a bus back.

Steep staircase and no washing machine.

Loved the location, the traditional style and the friendly host. It had everything that was needed and was a very enjoyable stay!

We didn't find the shower but for one night it was alright. We probably did not understand the host's information at the beginning. The sink in the washroom upstairs is very small but otherwise everything is great and you can enjoy a nice coffee upon arrival.

traditional ryokan with great service. the stairs are a bit steep leading to the living area and the traditional ofuro is downstairs but it was an awesome stay. very nostalgic for me

Staff was very welcoming.

Beautiful traditional flat. The beds were great.

Tall people have to be very carefull with their head.
