CZRooms actually look nice and clean, they are even decently spacious. Futons are more or less comfortable. Location is great if you want to see Itsukushima, amazing if you want to see a very calm and "people's" neighbourhood. You get a very detailed message from the host before check-in, including how to get to the accommodation.
At first you sense the lack of privacy from the outside of the ryokan - everyone from the street could watch you, everyone can come inside and steal stuff. In the inside, it's what you should expect - paper thin walls. Then you dig deep and find out the whole accommodation is a lowkey hoarder's house. There is just tons of junk on the balcony and in rooms' closets. But wait, that is definitely not the worst and you should not care about it if it was an otherwise nice stay. But there is more. Mold in the shower/bath, and I mean a lot of mold all around the bath. Bathroom was dirty, washing machine was so dirty I would not touch it. Restroom doors were not closing properly. In the restroom and bath/shower room, you are expected to wear shared slippers. Maybe I am overreacting, maybe such type accommodation is not for me, but this was not worth any cost saving. Decided to pack stuff and spend the next night in the hotel room, mind that for only $10 more. Plus I never saw the host, got a promisingly detailed message before check-in, though Wi-Fi did not work. Had to use another one mentioned on the public board. Oh and there was breakfast mentioned in the listing? Well...

NZOk size rooms. Shampoo and shower gel in bathroom. Communal fridge and washing machine. Good AC. Bathroom and sheets were clean.
Mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable. Worse sleep in Japan. Saw 2 cockroaches in room. Owner didn’t respond to messages on booking.com when WiFi wasn’t working. He came 24hrs later and told us the password had changed. Walls are paper thin so hear others in house. Location is 1hr via tram from main station.
