"My go-to place to wind down after a long week of hiking."

9.0

A great way to end your stay at the Northern Alps. I have been to Kazeya twice to end my hikes. Kazeya is a ryokan that ticks a lot of boxes to make for an unforgettable trip. The amenities include baths of which two of them are private (a big recommendation for those that need to wind down after multiday hikes) A great food selection when it comes to dinner. A great breakfast that will fill you for another day of adventure. Plenty of spaces to sit and relax And your own room has a lot of space to relax in. Location wise, there isn't much around, but access to and from shin-Hotaka ropeway and Kamikochi are easily accessable through the bus.

This place often has many tourists outside of Japan, many of which bring their own social norms with them. Especially the last time I went, it was baffling to me how inconsiderate some the the guests were. If you come to break away from tourists, maybe look elsewhere.

C'est un ryokan traditionnel qui sert de très bons plats le soir et au petit déjeuner. Le personnel est très serviable et les bains sont agréables après une journée de marche.

Le matelas est un peu dur.

We had a really nice experience at Kazeya Roykan. The staff was very friendly and helpful, trying their best with limited English. The room was beautiful with an authentic feeling. Amazing to have your own private onsen in the room as well. Could only recommend going here! Oh, and the food was top notch.
