Kamakura Cocon is located in a quiet neighborhood which is not far from the city center. They can arrange to pick you up from the JR station with no additional charge. The hotel is located in a historical property which has been renovated to a very high standard, offering modern comfort with a serene ambience. With only two rooms, the service is impeccable. We in particular enjoyed the dinner - the bonito dish was the best that I have had and a lot of thoughts have been put into the menu to showcase the local ingredients. We also enjoyed the wine pairing (7 wines at 10,000 yen per person). Chef and all the staff are very friendly. If you enjoy good food and plan to be in the Kamakura area I think you would like Kamakura Cocon. I have already recommended Kamakura Cocon to my friends.

鎌倉で歴史を感じる建物に泊まることができて、幸せでした。 リノベで部屋はとても清潔＆綺麗で、行き帰りや宿泊中の送迎、部屋での朝食ご用意などサービスも至れり尽くせりでした。 夫の誕生日祝で花束をリクエストしましたが、直前にも関わらずとても素敵なものをご用意頂き、大変嬉しかったです。 また、夕食（イタリアン）・朝食（和食）は一つ一つが全て美味しく贅沢でした。 ありがとうございました。

Niché au coeur d'un écrin de nature apaisante, cet hôtel incarne l'élégance discrète et le raffinement sans ostentation, où chaque détail est pensé pour offrir confort et sérénité. Un accueil parfait et un service irréprochable, à la fois attentionné et discret. Les repas étaient savoureux, préparés avec soin par un cuisiner sympathique qui n'a pas hésité à venir échanger quelques mots avec nous. La suite allie harmonie et raffinement dans un décor inspiré de la tradition nippone. Tout était parfait, merci pour ce merveilleux séjour!

The hotel was wonderful, we couldn‘t wish for more. The staff was very attentive and helped us with everything. They even picked us up and brought us back to the train station and drove us to a nearby sightseeing spot without extra charge. The food was delicious and the service was excellent! Our booking included dinner and breakfast, both of which were truly outstanding and prepared by a very gifted chef. The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive from the moment we arrived to driving us to Kamakura station when we left. Our accommodation was huge - entrance hall, living room, bathroom space with separate toilet, washbasins, and shower/hot soaking bath on the ground floor with the bedroom and second toilet on the floor above. All were fully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The building and the surrounding garden were beautiful with very refined detailing.

Loved everything

Welcoming and friendly staff from pickup at the train station to reception, and then at dinner. A memorable dinner prepared in front of us was aesthetically delightful and “oishii”. Top notch traditional and modern furniture blended beautifully. We were most.comfortable in serene surroundings.

Futon mattresses for beds might have lead to a more “traditional” feel. Otherwise, pretty much everything else exceeded our expectations.
