Traditional Japanese building with private onsen. Have the whole building for the stay. Great hospitality.

The house is a traditional Japanese house. It has a large space with two levels, with a Japanese garden through the middle. The upstairs bedrooms can be opened up into a beautifully decorated large lounge area. The house has all the finishing touches with coffee, jam, tea etc. We were able to drop our bags off before check in and take the 2 hour hike up the mountain. The cable car 🚠 is an easier option. Lovely, very helpful staff.

Our hostess was lovely. Whole house was beautiful. Had everything we wanted and more. Wished we had stayed longer. Simple but delicious breakfast was supplied. Beds were comfortable and area was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Such a beautiful space to experience Miyajima Island. Having access to all areas was unexpected. The simple touches of local food for breakfast and socks for sleeping made it extra special. Within walking distance to see all the sights and plenty of options for food. Highly recommend staying here for an authentic experience.

An incredible experience. Beautiful home, tons of space, comfortable onsen with large bath, and a courtyard built right into the center of the property. Couldn’t be happier.

Only downside is that the bathroom is downstairs, and you need to walk around the outdoor courtyard to reach it. It was a bit chilly to do that, but we did come in February! Overall not an issue, especially if you come during warmer months.

The home is absolutely gorgeous! If you want to experience a true traditional Japanese house, come here! The traditional bath is just to die for! It’s also very close to all the shopping/restaurants on Miyajima as well. There is also an enormous amount of space relative to other accommodations in Japan- to top it off it’s an amazing value. Thank you! We’d love to stay here again!

A stunning traditional house with very helpful and friendly host.

I highly recommend this accommodation. It's absolutely stunning, our only regret was not staying longer than a night, you really want a minimum of 2 to make the most of it. We will definitely be coming back one day 😊
