Hotel Spax Kusatsu

食事はどれも美味しく、ご飯、お味噌汁はおかわり自由でした。食事場所は朝夕ともレストランと言われましたが、個室の和室となっており、家族での楽しいひと時を過ごすことができました。 また卓球台2台、ビリヤード台があり、食後1時間ほど卓球を楽しみました。今時、やる人はいないのでしょうか、貸切状態でした。 温泉はさすが草津！滑らかな湯で体の芯から温まりました。男湯、女湯は夜と朝で入れ替わり露天風呂がどちらかで楽しめます。 2〜3分歩けば、土産物など商店街があり10分かからず湯畑に着く立地です。

特にはないですが、強いて言うならホテルの手前が急坂で、荷物を持って歩いて行くにはキツかった点くらいです。

スタッフの方々はとても親切で部屋も綺麗でした。また、温泉も良かったです。

今回泊まった部屋が少し建付けが悪かった？長年の劣化？による箇所が気になりました。

一番は温泉が良かったし、トイレとシャワールームが別れていたのが良かった。

ちょっと湯畑までが、距離があったのかな、運動にはちょうど良いのかな。

部屋が広く、清潔でした。風呂にも近く快適でした

アメニティ－が安い物かと

We were warm welcomed by the hotel staffs for checkin. Unlike the usual checkin process, we were asked to take a seat and wait for a staff to oritntate us around, we were served with hot towels, welcome drink and sweet. The staff were professional and the booking system for the dinner/ breakfast were simple. As the hotel is located above the hill, we had our opportunity to enjoy the view of kusatsu from above and saw other hotels beneath from our balcony. The hot spring was also wonderful, it was full of minerals and really comfy.

The dinner was not a traditional Japanese meal, which was a small let down. We were served with a fusion styled meal. The meal might not be idealistic for those who are expecting the traditional styled meals. Also, there was a staff in the morning that ruined our stay. He was particularly rude and told us off when we were simply taking photo at the restaurant reception with no staff around. The members of my party were quite annoyed by his attitude, he followed us around until we entered the lift to our room. This didn't feel nice at all. We would appreciate it if there is a photo not allowed sign, if it is really not allowed. Last but not least, since the hotel is located at the top of the hill, elderlies or member with disabilities might found it difficult to reach the hotel (from the town centre). Although there are pickup services from the train station, it might be better to setup an pickup point from town centre as well, which would enhance the overall experience.
