Glamping Wilpattu by Thamaravila

Beautiful property excellent staff. Did the full day we saw 2 leopards, and every other animal except for elephants.

Everything was incredible. Gayasha and Kavi were very attentive and made us feel like we were at home.

Could not recommend Thamaravila more! Everything was fantastic from the welcome to the safari and everything in between. The service was fantastic and all staff were extremely friendly. The traditional Sri Lankan food was delicious. Our safari experience was also amazing, seeing elephants, sloth bears and leopards all in one day! Thanks to Priya who was our very knowledgeable guide on the day. The rooms were very spacious and the location is so quiet and peaceful.

This is special place. The staff were exceptional. Particular thanks to Tharindu who was the most helpful, kindest, friendliest and loveliest staff member we have ever experienced. He went above and beyond to make it special for us on our honeymoon. The chef Dhanuka was exceptional. Delicious food in very generous portions and even baked us a special cake. Sampath’s housekeeping was excellent and again he made a real effort to make it special for our honeymoon. The guides on safari were brilliant and we saw so many amazing animals including leopards! Wonderful place. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place tucked amongst nature. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food and service was fantastic.

Quite expensive but still a wonderful stay.

Priya and his team couldn’t do enough for us and was so attentive with utmost understanding and kindness to our 22month old daughter. The food was fine dining at its best and kept making the chicken soup my daughter couldn’t get enough of. Priya’s knowledge of the wildlife in the park was great and again focusing on wildlife our daughter could see.

Priya and his team were so flexible in terms of meal times, food choices and the widlife safaris his took us on.

This is a small property near the national park. The rooms are very spacious and luxurious - I really liked the outdoor shower. If you can afford it, go for a room with the pool. There are various packages available. We opted for half board. The breakfast is massive and really too much. Dinners were a set menu which was nice and they accommodated my wifes dietery requirements. The staff were very attentive but at time should recognise that guests want to be left alone. The safari drives organised through the property were very good but lacked the polish of what we have previously experienced in Africa - for example - African safaris usually include a stop for refreshments. It was at time difficult to figure out what was included in our package and what was not.

Other than the minor comments above, nothing to dislike.

The property is excellent with well maintained grounds and we had a magnificent villa with a little pool. The staff are kind and attentive and the food is absolutely excellent.

There are mosquitoes but that is to be expected!!
