"TRANSPORT SCAM"

5.0

Stars and desert are amazing. That is the only thing that makes this trip magnificent.

You will be obliged to pay 50 EURO PER PERSON to take you to your hotel, which is 10 min drive. It is not mentioned anywhere on booking.com, so if you are thinking that the accommodation is cheap, consider +100 Euro per night if you are a couple.

"Acceptable camp if you have never seen sand dunes before"

7.0

The dinner was delicious and plentiful. The camp has a nice seating area outside incl. campfire.

The camp is located not in the desert but on the edge of the desert next to all the other camps. This means, while we could see the sand dunes, we were not really part of it nor were we in a remote, isolated place as you would imagine from the pictures. However, this seems to be the case for most (if not all) of the camps. If you have slept in the desert before, you will be disappointed. The tent itself was relatively spacious and we had all expected amenities incl. a seating corner, hot water, etc. However, being there in December, it was very, very cold as no warm blankets were provided. In addition, the flooring was concrete, also outside, which did not really contribute to the romantic atmosphere of being in “nature”. While the dinner was very good, the breakfast was rather disappointing (the food served was cold, no big variety, etc.). The travel to the camp was totally overpriced as it is only a 5-kilometer drive to the village (as written, you are not in a remote place). The staff was very unmotivated, did not provide any information on breakfast or dinner times upon arrival, etc.

"Nice place, needing more than few improvements."

6.0

Gorgeous location. Camp is beautifully arranged. Very welcoming and helpfull staff. The dinner was nice, but the breakfast was fairly dissapointing. Enjoyed the ride by 4x4.

I think It is very important to notify the guest that on top of the accommodation charges there is a high transport fee to the desert (in our our case it was 100€ both ways). Also, if you are planning to visit during winter months, it gets extremely cold at night and there are no heating facilities in the room( even though heating is mentioned in the advert) apart from few blankets. The usb ports don't work properly so it's almost imposible to charge your phone during the stay. Also, we have had an issue with hot water which was later fixed.

"You can choose this tent for your Sahara but read the reviews before making your decision"

7.0

1. The dinner and breakfast were very good. 2. The place is nicely decorated and looks beautiful at night. 3. The barber music is very unique. 4. The tent staffs are really helpful specially Lahssan is a life saver.

1. The attitude of the man sitting in city centre reception is a kill switch for your entire excitement for Sahara experience. 2. The tent is 30 mins drive into the desert from the centre and you need to pay extra for that and that amount will be equal or more than your entire half-board accommodation to the tent. So be ready for the shock if you are a budget traveler. 3. We had our own 4x4 arranged for entire Morocco trip and the man in the reception didn’t like it at all. When our driver asked for the location to the tent he gave us a wrong location. BTW the location for the tent in Google and Apple map is inaccurate. We had to ask for local help going into the desert to find out the exact location as we got lost with the misleading location. 4. The tents contained heaters to use in cold but they do not function. My wife was having problem breathing in cold air as the temperature dropped significantly at night. I went out and asked for help and that time Lahssan took immediate actions to arrange and assemble a gas heater to aid the situation. He is truly an asset for their business.

"Wonderful experience"

The most attentive, kind staff in a beautiful location. We were all so pleasantly surprised by how much we loved the sunset camel ride in, the beautiful meals, and the sunrise walk on the dunes. Would highly recommend this camp!

Everything was perfect, the experience, camel ride, sandboards on the sunrise, and warm welcome, including the best dinner in Morocco. Thanks.

"Desert camp"

7.0

Camp is located in the middle of Merzougha dunes. So there were a lot of good views. Dinner was tasty, staff was very friendly and professional. Music night was also brightful

It's impossible to get to the camp by your rented car if it not 4x4. So you have to pay for transfer from Merzougha to camp, and this price is higher than cost per night. And all the sum you have to pay in cash. Wi-Fi in the tent doesn't work. Water for the shower has finished by the morning. Bed sheet was synthetic, and electrified a lot. I had to sleep without it.
