Riad Kasbah Baraka

Good location inside the medina, but the address given on the website and the address given by the Owner is not precise enough to get there. We had to be helped to find it by 3 local men who saw us wandering around the nearby riads. The place is definitely clean, inside there is a beautiful patio with plants. Each room has a bathroom, the kitchen is fully equipped.

Contact with the Owner via booking is difficult, she replies with delay, not answering all the questions. A lady (probably a cleaner) was waiting for us on site, only opened the door for us and went back to cooking in the kitchen, without showing nor explaining anything. She could not communicate in any language (we tried in French/Spanish/English/Arabic via google translate - she did not understand anything). She has her own keys, you never knew when she would show up to clean, sometimes when we returned to the riad she was simply there without any warning. In our bathroom, the water drainage was difficult, the main light in the room did not work. Terrible WiFi, despite a full connection, works very slowly. We ordered breakfast once - typical Moroccan pancakes with jam and mint tea with ton of sugar - in my opinion all in all too sweet, there was no savory option. The lady sent to prepare the breakfast also couldn't speak any language, we spent 15 minutes to explain her the maths in our payment method.

The bed were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We had dinner at the Riad which was delicious. We liked the Kasbah neighborhood. The gate makes it easy to get to and from.

We should not have gone with the guide on a tour. We didn’t need that.

This place is new and strong construction it pass the 6.8 earthquake in Morroco with no crack. You will be save here. Also neighbors is very kind and nice people.
