Very comfy bed! Lovely quiet setting. Great meal at the pub. Hosts very welcoming. Very clean.

I liked the location and it was great to just walk over to the bar and have a drink and a proper Chinese meal.

Location, close to river. No other option available for a meal other than to have at the next door tavern - food was amazing and freshly cooked Chinese. Lady running the place was friendly. Sweet Weta’s running about!

The room was ready when we arrived and given a room at the back… I don’t think anyone else was staying. This I assume to benefit us due to the noise of trucks driving fast down the main road. The room had a smell to it, very old fashioned needing updating. Bedspread smelt. Very old bathroom with shower curtain - no shelf to put anything. Kitchen facilities very poor and old, dirty cutlery. No sink. Fridge with milk pods. Limited tea and coffee sachets, only one coffee. Microwave. Tv on top of wardrobe so diff to watch. Just didn’t want to touch anything. Stayed here as was the only option passing through up from Greymouth to Motueka - should have stayed in Westport maybe? Or Murchison. Very overpriced for what you get - taken advantage due to remote location. Wear bug spray down by river as millions of sandflies biting!

Great overnight stay with excellent air conditioning and a very comfortable bed. Well equipped with everything needed for the night. Loved the friendly weka.

Cool, historic tavern with the best Chinese food ever! Comfortable, private rooms with outside area facing mountains in the distance. Can park your car outside the room.

Room slightly dated but adequate and comfortable.
