The Yurt Wai Rua

The Yurt was super cool and very atmospheric, set in a beautiful idyllic scene, it was a really lovely experience. Shonie (sorry if i spelled your name wrong) was also super lovely, helpful, and accommodating.

4 flaws that stood out to us that does not justify how much the accommodation costed. Accommodation was awesome but not for the price due to these flaws: 1) there's only 2 power points that were only powerful enough to charge phones or power a lamp. Using a hair dryer would instantly switch off the power for the yurt. 2) The shower was hot for one minute then cold for the rest, had to turn it off and wait in the shower for hot water to get going again. Must be a setting or something. We ended up just doing cold water showers after 1 minute of hot water. 3) The Yurt was not very clean, there was dust in corners and under the bed which was obvious when we sat in the recliners. 4) there were rubbish from previous guests such as empty beer cans, empty shampoo and face wash bottles, body scrubbers that perhaps was intended for guests but these are rather personal hygene items that in my personal opinion not suited for sharing with other guests. 5) there's no mentioning of the hot tub costing $25 to use, I was asked if we wanted to use it, which I said "it would be nice," then we were informed that it will be $25 which I didn't confirm to use. When we arrived the hot tub was already heated with instructions sent to me. Perhaps just a miscommunication, but I thought it would have been good to have been informed of the cost before being offered of the use.

This was my first time in a Yurt. It was an interesting experience. The location is nice. There were some nice lotus flowers in the pond.

It was a beautiful little surprise. Perfect getaway.
