Villa Mar Azul

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Mar Azul. The room was extremely clean, spacious, and well-maintained. I especially appreciated the compact kitchen, which made it convenient to prepare light meals. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always ready to help, which really added to the experience. The room also had a private outdoor area — a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The location is excellent, just a short distance from both the historic center of Lagos and the beach. For those renting a car to explore the Algarve, the hotel’s parking facilities are a huge plus. There is honestly nothing negative to mention. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lagos.

Localização excelente com acesso a pé até à praia de Porto de Mós. Apartamento bem decorado e equipado; com acesso extra para o exterior por escada e varanda para refeições. Piscina sossegada com jardim. Limpeza exemplar.

Insonorização do quarto porque a janela está virada para o estacionamento do hotel adjacente onde fazem cargas e descargas de manhã cedo a partir das 06h. Também a chegada tardia de hóspedes barulhentos desse mesmo hotel incomoda o descanso no quarto.

The facilities and pool were amazing and the housekeeper was excellent.

Lovely and peaceful. Short walk down to the beach. Free parking on site available for a few cars. Ideal to have a car to get to other attractions and town centre.

Their main office is on a different site but you can call. However, It would be nice to know that beforehand. We wanted to extend our stay, spoke to customer service and agreed the extension and were told we can go anytime before our check-out time to make the payment. We then got a call in the morning just and were told that they had not secured the booking and someone else has also booked the accommodation and had to leave. This meant that we had to change our activities, find alternative accommodation which cost us double the amount as it was for the same day etc. They also offered us to move to another property on another site which cost significantly more. That ruined a good stay and left us really disappointed and

Clean and well appointed. Great bathroom, well kept building.

The location was a little far from the centre of Lagos to be walkable in the heat.
