Disappointing Stay at the Floating House I would not recommend staying at this floating house. The property is poorly maintained, with moldy curtains and blinds that don’t work properly. The mattress was old, uncomfortable, and provided no support, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Within the first 30 minutes of my stay, I started feeling dizzy, which was very uncomfortable. I contacted the manager, but they informed me that no refunds are provided, which was very disappointing. The bathroom is not suitable for taller individuals, and I was shocked to learn from the manager that the waste goes directly into the river, which is clearly harmful to the environment. Additionally, the bicycles provided were completely rusted and unusable, the outdoor chairs were broken, and the dock had no lighting at night. Arriving after sunset was unsettling, as it was pitch dark and felt unsafe. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience. I would strongly advise against booking this property.

Unique experience, staying in a Marina. Eduardo was very responsive and came to receive us and explained everything. Entry and exit was simple. Though small as we expected, It was very charming and novel. The bed was very comfortable. The property was very clean in the inside.

The location was a bit off from the city so at night it felt slightly isolated. The floating home could do with external cleaning. But nothing was wrong. I loved the experience despite heavy rains at night!

The out look was ok

It wasn’t floating level on water. Couldn’t put toilet paper in toilet. If you showered at night with the light on people outside could see you. The water supply kept being turned off. The power tripped. Most of the curtains were faulty and dirty. Wifi not good. Access not good if you have suitcases and no where to store them. Cob webs everywhere. Etc

good location, quiet and walking distance to the old town

Maggie was wonderful and continued to help us through all the constant problems with an amazing attitude. It looks just like the photos and indeed a unique place to stay, surrounded by Geese and other birds and lovely views.

We had nothing but problems here. On the first day we had a constant maddening beeping sound. After calling for help and having the harbourmaster sent out we though we solved the problem. We were offered a refund if we wanted to leave but it was New Year’s Eve and it seemed to be resolved. So we stayed. Our mistake. The next day in the evening the problem resumed. We called again and after working through options we found a solution. We hoped. When we went to leave for NYE we found the marina we were in was padlocked shut. With no exit for emergencies. No ability to leave or reach our car. And no way out. After a few more frantic messages and phone calls Maggie found someone to come let us out, with a promise we could call to get let back in. We were not provided with a key. We found this also to be true when we left the following day, the padlock on the gate and someone asking what we were doing. The third evening we discovered we had no water. It was late 11pm and we messaged Maggie yet again. Unfortunately this time she was sleeping. So we dealt with not being able to flush a toilet or wash hands. Not ideal to say the least. Maggie called the following day and said someone must have turned the water off, and helped us solve that problem as well. 3 days of constant messaging and phone calls and problems is not what we expected considering it was €145 a night. We filed a complaint with booking.com when we left. We were told no compensation would be given as we should have left after the first night with the first problem when they offered a refund. Had we been able to see into the future for all the other problems, we would have. The locked gate is particularly concerning as a point of safety as women travelling. The only quirks to the house itself we would have like to have seen is there was a electric hot plate was provided but no pots or pans to use it with.

It’s very nice experience to live in a floating house, it’s f you like water, it’s really amazing!!

Not very easy to take bus or subway, but to rent Uber is ok.
