The location was great. I work at hospital and it’s a 10 minute drive

There were flies and dried blood in my room. I asked for a new room and was told there was none. I ended up checking out and demanding a refund because I was so grossed out. I was also concerned the hospital wouldn’t allow me to work if I picked up germs from the dried blood. I can’t afford to miss work. I notified the staff of both the flies and blood when asking for a refund.

Four of us travelling on a motorcycle trip, so we booked 2 rooms, each with 2 queen beds. I later phoned to confirm 2 rooms, each with 2 beds. Arrived and discovered that one room only had a single bed. Staff (or other residents) dragged in a box spring and mattress which was wedged on the floor between the existing bed and the air conditioner. The place has long term residents and overnighters. I got the feeling we displaced a long term resident. Cleaning bucket left in the old dated bathroom. Daughters I was travelling with refused to stay in the single room, citing it was too disgusting. The double room was only slightly less gross. Old carpet, barely functional bathroom, paper thin walls where you could here the long term tenants talk ALL NIGHT. The coffee maker in the office looked destined for a dumpster. We were tired after a long day and needed sleep for the rest of our journey so we reluctantly stayed, after a beer and burger at the pub across the street. The kicker was that each room cost almost $200 CDN after tax and fees! A motorcycle rally at a nearby town must have driven up costs and reduced availability of area rooms. Supply and demand. There is no way my wife would have stayed here. The pics show a quaint clean place, not the worn down accommodation for locals of a town struggling to survive. If you can, drive on by this one!

very friendly at check in, decent value

room was severely lacking in house keeping. found items in the drawers, dust/trash on floors, and there was still takeout in the fridge. very loud and could hear other guests all night.
