The office is closed from sunset Friday to sunset Saturday. Extra towels and supplies will be provided on Friday as regular housekeeping services are not provided on Saturdays. Pets are not permitted in the motel rooms, only in the cottages only and there is a USD 25 pet fee and a limit of up to 2 pets.Guests are required to show a photo ID and credit card upon check-in. "It was Great"

I booked a Saturday stay. They owners are normally closed on Saturday during the off season. They contacted me and still let me stay. Lillian is th Bomb. Oh, and it was my birthday weekend. So she really made it great by letting me come in

There’s nothing to complain about. Every year I visit the OBX between October and December. I always stay at the Cavalier. I enjoy the history of the old school beach motel and my stay is always outstanding

The location is great. The staff is always friendly and kind.

There are no smoking signs in front of every room. And yet, every time you just want to sit out in front of your room, you are surrounded by guests smoking in front of their rooms. That sucks.

"Great location, great staff, unbeatable value."

A great beachfront hotel with great shops and restaurants within walking distance. Our room was very clean and met our needs. Being able to talk to a real person to check was really nice and is something that more and more places are going away from. Staff was great as well!

This is an older beach hotel and parking is limited and the spaces are very tight. The rooms are small but adequately equipped. I personally enjoy the charm of a simpler time.

"Old, Funky but Great!!"

This is a lovely place to stay as long as you are not expecting a 4-star experience. I loved it. Clean and neat w/ outdoor pool and quick beach access. Desk staff Amy and Kate were lovely and very helpful! Parking is good. You can stay through a full week, but no check-ins or check-outs on Saturdays given that owners are 7th Day Adventists.
