Zion Park Motel

Amazing location. This is located right in downtown Springdale on the shuttle line so you don’t have to worry about parking at the visitor center or paying for parking. The free breakfast at the restaurant next door was excellent. The room had a microwave and fridge which were great. The room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. Housekeeping was also daily and great as well.

It is dated in decor. Think paneling and brown rug. The TV which we tried to watch once or twice had terrible reception and just didn’t work well at all. However we weren’t there for tv. Also a pet peeve of mine is those super cold fluorescent light bulbs. Our room had only those and it really bothered me. The pool heater was broken so we couldn’t swim (we were there in April and it wasn’t warm enough).

The rooms were very clean. There was a plethora of towels, shower bottles (shampoo, conditioner, etc). The family unit we booked had 2 separate bedrooms, separate kitchen and a separate living room. The AC kept the May heat at bay. It was very quiet! The breakfast vouchers we got at the front desk allowed us to order breakfast at the cafe next door, and the food there was good. We requested a pack&play for our toddler and it was provided for a $10/night fee (cash only). It came with a baby comforter. The beds were okay soft - I'm an IKEA firm mattress person and these were still too soft for me, but compared to other places, it was pretty good. The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to cook and eat, apart from anything edible (incl. salt). The motel is located close to shuttle stop number 5, which is about 10 min away from the park entrance via shuttle, or about 25-30 min by foot.

The pool is supposed to be heated by the solar panel, but it wasn't working. The water was pretty cold, and we dared to swim a bit only in the middle of the sunny day (May). The neighboring Bumbleberry residents were swimming in the evenings in their heated pool after their hikes, while we were soaking our feet in the bathtub. The doors in the 121 unit were creaking with every move. And so did the floor. The AC unit vents are located on the ceiling right on top of the beds in both rooms, so the cool air was blowing right in our faces. Not a dealbreaker, but it did wake me up a few times.
