High Desert Inn

No closet or place to hang clothes, no ironing no coffee maker, no ironing board nor iron, no shampoo/conditioner provided

So, I got what I deserved for shopping cheap. I do have to give this place credit. They are trying to make improvements. Floors are new, paint is recent, but…. While it looks clean, it smells dirty. Broken chair in room, burns to blanket and mattress. This is an older, Route 66 style motel. They have been remodeling, but it’s very DYI. They have more work to do on cleanliness and curb appeal before this becomes a value stay.

Rooms we ok...just no electrical outlet in room except by the sink...the 2 in the room had the TV hooked to it. Also no small table to eat or do any paperwork or computer work.

In a very bad area. Drug deals and homeless surrounds the property. The review photos I saw did not expose the surrounding area. Room reaked of cleanser, which was both good and bad. Shower head falling out exposing disgusting things. Bathroom fixures broken and old. Staff was nice when you could find them.

I recently stayed at High Desert Inn, and unfortunately, my experience was far below expectations.The first issue was noticeable upon entering the room – the door was missing its protective weather seal. This not only raised security concerns but also allowed light from outside to enter the room, affecting the room's comfort.The amenities provided were severely lacking. The bathroom had only a small, thin bar of soap, measuring about two by three inches, and there were no other toiletries like shampoo or conditioner. The absence of hand soap was particularly inconvenient.The condition of the bathroom itself was unsatisfactory. The shower space was extremely cramped, making it uncomfortable to use. Additionally, the overall maintenance of the shower area left much to be desired.The towels provided were of very low quality – thin and worn out, giving the impression they had been in use for several years. The lack of quality towels significantly detracted from the overall experience.These issues point towards poor management and lack of attention to guest comfort and basic needs. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope this feedback helps in making necessary improvements for future guests.

Basic room, clean.

Require a $50 key deposit for a $2 RFID key. They already have your credit card on file, no reason for this. The door to my room looked like someone had tried to break into it at some point. Door frame in the lock area was pretty well torn up. A little concerning. No shampoo. No where to put the soap in the shower.
