Cruise itinerary & schedule are subject to due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Excursion boat will be used during the 2nd day for deeper exploration of the day. Cabin allocation aboard remains unchanged. Swimming, kayaking, bamboo boat activities may be canceled due to poor weather. Unused services are not subject to a refund. Meals aboard are fusion: Vietnamese food, International food, seafood and vegetarian menu are available for request. Guests should advise any special food preferences, allergic or dietary requirements at least 2 days prior to the cruise date. 3-day advance registration is required with full name, date of birth, nationality, gender, passport number & visa expiry date for all passengers. Upon check-in on boat, guests are required to present a valid passport or ID. Children whose travel documents are attached to the parents’ passport , must be accompanied by said parents. Special requests are subject to availability, additional charge may be applied. Rates are not inclusive of transportation from Hanoi to Halong or against, from Halong back to Hanoi. Please contact cruise directly for more details about suitable type of transfer, cost, time & pick-up point. Contact details can be found on confirmed booking. For the pick-up service, guests must provide clear address for pick up at least 1 day before cruise departure.Payment before arrival by bank transfer is required. The property will contact you after you book to provide instructions. A deposit may be required at the property.

We stayed 3D2N - best decision ever! We had a seperate trip on day 2 on a day ship just for five people - a whole boat for us, because others stayed just for 1 night. The best crew ever! Thank you Kevin and Tony for the hospitallity and taking really good care of us. The food was amazing! The day trips very comfortable and good.

Staff were amazing and helpful. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.

Nothing, Athena Cruises are excellent. Ha long Bay is very overpopulated with Cruise Ships, a little overwhelming at times.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights, and had an excellent time onboard! I would highly recommend staying for the 2nd night, as you get to go much deeper into the bay than for just one day. The boat is beautiful, and the food was quite good. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made sure everyone had a good time. I really appreciated that they have clearly worked hard on the schedule--everything started right on time, and we never felt rushed. The activities of the 2nd full day were incredible--the swimming, kayaking to the cave, and the visit to the pearl farm were the highlights!

We had the suite with balcony, and I don't think the balcony is worth it unless you smoke. Our room also unfortunately had a fruit fly infestation in the bathroom, which made it a bit hard to relax in the room (but of course the rest of the boat is lovely enough). Don't expect good WiFi, but that's not really the boat's fault. The activities in Ha Long Bay are of course highly crowded, so I'd really recommend the 3 days as the 2nd day was the only day we could get into the less busy parts of the Bay--the activities on day 1 and 3 were absolutely packed with people, even in the off season. But again, this is an issue you would encounter with any tour, so just to be aware.
