Ndzhaka Tented Camp

Basic camp to get a real „bush“ feeling, great game drives with the best guide (thanks Rony), very good food (breakfast, lunch, dinner), no fence, easy information how to find the camp, Very friendly staff Good value for the price in low season

Overall the camp has seen its best years (some rotten wood here and there, some broken things lying around…) Comfortable tents but with some defects (loose tap in the bathroom, mould on the inside pillows, spider webs in bathroom)

We thoroughly enjoyed the game drives, the hosts were great and the food was delicious.

Great safari, the closest you can get to the animals. On the first afternoon game drive (4 until 7pm) we had lions on the street in front of us and when we arrived at the camp there was an elephant family drinking from the water pit in the camp. Our driver Elvis was very motivated to look for the animals and also drive off-road into the bush although his English was not always understandable. The food was great and the rooms clean and comfortable.

The staff was often not present and didn't care much to make us feel welcome. They didn't explain how things work like how to make a tea for example. The other guests had to explain it to us. For the price you pay we expected a bit more in that regard. The Wi-Fi didn't work because I think they only use solar power and we didn't have sun because it rained a lot. Because of that we also couldn't drive off-road anymore and got stuck one time. It was just before sunset and our driver Elvis first didn't wanted to ask for help and when we really didn't get out of the mud he went to the nearby resort to ask for help but left us near the jeep for more than half an hour. When it got dark we decided to also walk to the resort nearby. He didn't apologise for leaving us there without any explanation.

Guide Rrronny 😄 he made our stay more than remorable.. lunch and Dinner were lovely and the ladies running the kitchen did a marvellous Job.

Wonderful staff, perfect location, animals visible from your tents, clean and comfortable, delicious and huge meals, the most excellent game drives … all around amazing
