"Great place to stay"

Loved this place. Very peaceful. Tent was comfortable and all facilities were great. Located close to lovely walks alongside the river, close to Wilderness and 20 km from Sedgefield.

"Glamping experience at an affordable price. Would definitely recommend it to others looking to glamp"

10.0

Even though the camp is next to the main guesthouse it is still private and surrounded by reeds all around. It does feel you're in the bush, while in civilization. The whole glamping experience is very nice with everything you may need in the kitchen.

Even though it is private, the reeds surrounding the toilet/bathroom area could be a bit thicker as it is next to the main guesthouse, however, nobody walks that way which is fine.

They have a very erratic dog on the premises...one of the owners' pets...... This business advertises itself as - pet friendly - and as such I phoned to confirm that my 3.5-month-old puppy would be OK... I was assured that all would be fine...on arrival I was told that one of their dogs was "a bit wary of strangers but not to worry"... the following morning his dog proceeded to show aggressive tendencies towards my dog even nipping him without provocation.....as we has a secluded location, which i will say was very pleasant, we kept ourselves restricted to our encampment and kept the two dogs apart....a mild inconvenience but we were enjoying our stay....however the following evening myself and my 9 year old son went exploring the hotel and the grounds...(without our puppy)....on arrival to the patio area that leads to the reception door we were met with the awakening dog halfway down the patio area. Wary of the dog's nature from our experience earlier, we both stopped about 10 feet away from the dog.... she approached us growling but still wagging her tail, proceeded to walk up to me and bite my arm.... painfully and hard enough to draw blood through my jumper... the owner's response upon seeing the mark was..."the blood will show through in a minute and have i seen the other tent with its beautiful location. There was no reaction to this happening as if it was the first time...it seemed that it was a regular occurrence that pet owners should accept as part of the journey of being a pet owner. Both of my children are dog lovers and could easily have approached this dog in a pet friendly location with feelings of security and safety to be rewarded with what i consider quite a savage bite....my young son observed me being bitten and was quite shaken...my 11 year old hearing the story spent the rest of our stay worried about being attacked every time he or the puppy ventured out of our secluded campsite. Very sad ...

"Amazing glamping experience with children"

It was an amazing experience. My children loved the glamping experience and the place was fully kitted with all the essentials. I would absolutely recommend it for anyone who is skeptical about camping in the woods
