Onsen Yado Mizuguchi

Very traditional, very pleasant room, amazing staff! Beautiful location and surroundings! Awesome food!

The onsen could use some renovation, as well as the toilet facilities. The space is very tight! Once you find toilet next to where breakfast is served, you use that one.

Easy check-in. Responsive staff and excellent communication. Comfortable beds, spacious room, clean, parking available and easy, short walking distance to local attractions. Beautiful outlook from the balcony.

Room not very secure - I’d recommend leaving valuables locked in vehicle. Due to the wooden structure and age of the building, it can be quite creaky and noisy. I found it part of the charm, but you will easily hear other guests moving around. The female onsen was in slight disrepair and quite small.

Perfect for a solo traveler that doesn't want to be bothered and just needs a quiet, simple place to stay. Rooms come with physical keys, fridge, kettle, folding foam futon, controllable air-conditioned. Yukata for moving between rooms and relaxing. Towel for onsen. There is a common room with seats and TV and microwave. Shared toilets and sinks (one toilet is the squat toilet, the other toilet room is quite small and I'm not sure if someone tall could actually close the door). Onsen is gender separated, they have communal shampoo and soap for washing before entering. It is small (maybe three people Max) and VERY HOT (awesome). Perfect location. I walked everywhere. There is a short bus to Darumayama observation deck where I saw fuji san!

I didn't know that my reservation through bookings app didn't come with the food but I just went around town for food. This isn't Yado Mizuguchi's fault. I was not feeling like speaking (in any language) so I just let myself rest.
