Noto Hyakurakusou

We liked everything about it, the atmosphere, the location, the food, the presentation, the magnificent views, the decor and the friendly staff.

Beautiful location with bay views, relaxing and classy interior, attentive staff. Our waiter, Tajima, was super friendly and helpful explaining all of the different foods provided for our many-coursed dinner. Unfortunately the timing did not work for us to explore the cave bath.

Fishing and a cup of coffee was an extra charge which is not disclosed on the website.

Everything was perfect. The Bay is an exceptionally peaceful retreat. Our spacious room had plenty of windows and a large balcony with a view of the water and surrounding landscape. The breakfast and dinner were outstanding, in terms of food quality, presentation,and service. The service and the service staff were impeccable, always there to meet our needs. We travel a lot, and I seriously can’t think of a better hotel stay, given the beautiful setting, room, meals, and perfect service.

The staff spoke good english and were extemely helpful. The food included in the half board price served in private dining areas was amazingly well presented traditional Japanese food. That looked and tasted out of this world. Some of the best food we had on our trip to Japan and we stayed in several expensive Ryokan. Lovely private or public outdoor onsen or in a subterranean cave. The Noto peninsular is still recovering from the earthquake of Jan 2024 and the terrible flooding in Sept 2024 but a trip there is well worthwhile to see the scenery and see how well the repairs are progressing

The bathroom is too small.

It was a long drive up the Noto Peninsula and we had to drive along a narrow road through a short stretch of forest before we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful facade of the hotel. The entire stay was a pampering experience. The view from the room was amazing. Both dinner and breakfast were exquisitely prepared and served in private rooms. We had a 50 min private bath which was extremely soothing. There were small zen gardens, libraries in a corner, and cupboards full of yukatas of different colors and designs. These were very pleasant to the eyes. I also liked how courteous and attentive the hotel staff were.

The fishing pier and waterfront restaurant were still not repaired since the earthquake 1 year ago. Some parts of the room were quite dusty

The shuttleservice from and to noto airport could offer more service times.
