Anglers Hideaway Cabins

Good location, not far off the highway and not far from places we needed to go. The staff contacted me and was very friendly. Accommodating for our small dog as well.

3 things that concerned us. As far as cleanliness, There were human boogers (clearly and distinctly… no question about what it was) on the wall by the bed… left side wall while lying on the bed. The next morning, we saw a cockroach on the wall in the bedroom… which, being at a lake cabin, I understand, it seems to be common at lakes. The third thing… not a huge deal, but the wall heating and cooling unit did not blow hot air at all. They did have a space heater that we used in the bedroom and it worked well. Like I said, not a huge deal. It’s a lake cabin and we didn’t expect luxury, but the boogers on the wall in the bedroom just made us pretty unsure about the rest of the cabins cleanliness. I will say, I walked barefoot in the cabin most of our stay and the floors were pretty clean. Also, the bathroom and kitchen seemed to be very clean as well.

Nothing

The worst beds we have ever slept in, moss coming out of shower head. Unable to get into the door after going to eat, stood outside for 20 minutes in the dark with the mosquitoes eating us up! Water smells like sewer.

Relatively private and quiet

The bed was uncomfortable and there was dust and spider webs in the room

Privacy

Very quaint. Our cabin was hidden and nice.

Had some ants inside that got on some of our food.

It’s a little hidden and a nice property.

It could use a good deep cleaning. And there were wasps hanging out around the porch so we didn’t really get to enjoy the porch area as much.
