Wajimaya Ryokan

Era tutto davvero perfetto. Ho viaggiato con 2 bimbi di 6 e 9 anni ed ero perplessa nell'andare in un posto con il bagno in comune..e invece era tutto super pulito. L'host è sempre presente, paziente e molto cortese. La posizione davvero molto centrale e ci si arriva a piedi dalla stazione centrale. La zona è tranquilla e a pochi metri da vari punti di interesse. I prezzi competitivi rispetto a quelli di Kyoto..ottima esperienza.

Maison typique Très bien située Très très propre

The ryokan itself is nice, very clean and well-maintained, it has the old charm mixed with lots of modern comfort, like air-conditioning, high-tech toilet, etc. I especially enjoyed the lovely garden view and little onsen pool in the bathroom. Location is good, walking distance to some main sights and train station too. It's possible to store luggage before check-in and after check-out, which is a great help.

The only major issue was the lack of hospitality, but sadly that has tainted the whole stay. Every single time you enter or leave the ryokan, a guy appears to look at you; never once with a smile, no ounce of warm greeting whatsoever during morning or day or evening, just watching you take on/off your shoes. Maybe he means well but it comes across rude and one starts to dread the feeling of having to come back and be met with surveillance and cold stares... Instead of feeling relaxed and welcomed during the stay one starts to stress about this behavior. The place deserves a different receptionist or attitude. It was my only bad experience in Japan and the only place I wouldn't return to.

Logement au top proche de la gare de Kyoto, le logement correspond parfaitement aux photos ! Il y a un Onsen (très agréable), je le recommande si vous souhaitez vous balader en Yukata, dormir sur des futons dans une ambiance 100% japonaise !

Common bathroom

Jolie chambre, matelas agréables, pyjamas prêtés. Eau chaude à disposition et micro-ondes/ frigo dans les parties communes. 2 toilettes pour 4 chambres.

Les murs des chambres sont fins et certains clients peuvent ne pas forcément parfaitement suivre le règlement intérieur sur le bruit. Attention, une salle de bain pour 4 chambres.
